QUESTION:
Since I have found your site and began using your remedies my blood pressure has dropped 10 points so far!!!
However, my hands are almost always very cold, no matter what... gloves don't even help. I suspect this is due to peripheral circulation problems, but it does not seem to affect my feet. Is there anything I can do???
ANSWER:
Hello Les, and thank you for your question regarding natural and home remedies for cold hands.
If you have hypertension (which it sounds like you have) then this will make your hands and feet feel cold. So along with continuing to follow our recommendations for lowering your blood pressure, there are are a few other things you can do to help with circulation...
#1. Ginger: Ginger is extremely good for increasing circulation, especially in the hands and feet. And it also helps to lower blood pressure too which is an added benefit. Take 2-3 teaspoons of powdered ginger every day, along with adding a few slices of fresh ginger to your beverages (tea, coffee, water, etc) for extra benefit.
#2. Cayenne Pepper: This is one of my personal favorites. Cayenne helps with just about any health problem but one of it's biggest benefits is it's ability to increase blood circulation. Cayenne pepper also helps to treat HBP as well so this is another added benefit. It is hot though, so if you struggle with the heat, you can always buy the
cayenne pepper capsules.#3. Garlic: Garlic has been used for centuries for increasing circulation as well as lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels. You can't go wrong taking garlic. Either the garlic capsules or fresh garlic are fine. Just make sure to have some every day.
Finally, it's also a good idea to fill a bowel with some warm to hot water (not burning) and add a heaped teaspoon each of ginger, cayenne pepper and garlic powder. Mix up then soak your hands (or feet) in this for 20-30 minutes.
It works a treat!
Hope this helps you.
Good luck and all the best,
Regards
Troy.
