QUESTION:
My son developed keloids in high school. The dermatologist said it was probably the result a bacterial infection. He is now 24 and continues to get them. Is there anything natural or any home remedies that can help?
ANSWER:
Hi Nancy, and thank you for your question regarding natural remedies for keloids.
A bacterial infection (or other pathogens) can certainly be a strong contributing factor in the development of keloids. But what many sufferers aren't aware of is the infection (pathogen) can and probably is still hiding in their body!
So the first course of action is to give the body a thorough internal pathogen and parasite cleanse. And the best way to do this is by taking olive leaf extract (OLE). This substance has been found to kill every virus, bacteria and protozoa its been tested against (to date, its been successfully tested against more than 30 micro-organisms). Nothing works better or as quickly as OLE. Just make sure the olive leaf extract you buy is "super strength" and not one of the cheap varieties. This is the one we recommend to our clients...
Olivus OliveleafMAX. It's the strongest and highest grade available anywhere in the world and works extremely well.
Some of the other potent home remedies for keloids you might want to consider include...
#1. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV): You'll find this as the standard treatment for keloids on other websites. ACV also works very well, not just as an internal remedy but as an external treatment as well.
To use as an external treatment here's what you do...
Apply some organic ACV directly on the keloid and gently massage so the vinegar is well absorbed into the skin. Wait a couple of
minutes then repeat the process. Do this 3 times per day for maximum results and continue for 6-8 weeks. If you find the apple cider vinegar irritates the skin, dilute with water or substitute for pure tea tree oil.
To use as an internal remedy simply mix 30 ml's of
organic apple cider vinegar (must still contain the "mother" apple) in a glass of warm, filtered water and drink 3 times a day, 10 minutes before food. If don't like the taste just add a teaspoon of natural honey to the mix. Or alternatively, you can take the ACV capsules instead.
And one last point. If you want to get rid of keloids permanently then you MUST continue to take the ACV every day for the rest of your life. The powerful health and longevity benefits of apple cider vinegar definitely make it worth it!
#2. Aloe Vera: Good old aloe vera helps to heal just about any skin problem, and this certainly includes keloids. It doesn't just heal damaged skin, it also helps to reduce inflammation and prevent further skin infections. Clean the scar first with some warm water then apply some fresh aloe vera gel (make sure it's completely natural aloe vera). Do this twice daily. Drinking natural aloe vera juice is also extremely beneficial and will help speed up the healing process.
#3. Comfrey Ointment: Comfrey is excellent for healing scars, burns and skin disorders. Many people have used comfrey ointments on their keloids and scars, with very positive results. You can
buy comfrey ointments online or from most well stocked health food stores.
So hopefully these tips help you and your son Nancy.
Good luck and all the best to you!
