Best Natural Remedies for Hypothyroidism, Weight Loss and Increasing Energy

QUESTION:

Wow! What an awesome site! So much information.

I fall under the "put 10 pounds on a year for five years" and now I top the scale at 230 pounds! My physician sent me for tests, results indicate hypothyroidism, and low iron levels and I'm scheduled for more tests. He recommends starting with a low dosage of Levothyroxin. I believe that once I start with this medication my sluggish thyroid will only worsen.

My fiftieth birthday is waiting right around the corner, and in all humility I know that my health is completely out of control. I never used to think about my level of activity, we had 6 children to raise, lived on a farm, ran our white tail outfitting business, grew a giant garden, raised bison, were bee-keepers. I worked in a greenhouse and drove a school bus.

Today, my youngest is now 20, we are off the farm and my lifestyle is 180 degrees in the opposite direction. AND I have zero energy... So what is a realistic approach? Do I begin with the hypothyroidism remedies and the rest will fall into place? I need a plan...

Kind regards,

Melissa.

ANSWER:

Hi Melissa. Firstly, thank you for your kind words about our site. We really appreciate it!

Now, in regards to a plan of action, I'd recommend that yes you first start with the hypothyroidism remedies if you're thyroid is low (here's the link again). These will
make a big difference! Once your energy starts to return then begin an exercise program. This can be as simple as going for a walk or bike ride every day (it can't be a leisurely walk or ride though. You must get yourself to a level where you're puffing but could still carry on a conversation). Of course, be sure to start off light and slowly build up and continue do more as your fitness level increases.

Also, try and incorporate some of other recommendations we list in our weight loss article as well... Home Remedies for Weight Loss. Start with some of the easy ones such as drinking more water and even the lemon and black pepper drink, then gradually move onto the other remedies.

The best way to approach this Melissa is by making some small lifestyle changes every day, rather than trying to do it all at once. It can quickly become quite overwhelming if you try and do everything all in one go.

Remember the hare and the tortoise. Slow and steady wins the race!

Hope this helps you out Melissa.

Good luck and all the best to you!

Regards

Troy (Admin).

P.S. Also make sure you get a hold of this life changing book and follow the tips and recommendations listed in "The Secret to Health" section... The Secret. This will make a huge difference, not just to your overall health and longevity, but to every aspect of your life!

Exercise
by: Stacy

I was always a couch potato, but when I turned 50 I decided that it was time for me to get my sh#t together. I started exercising, eating properly, and taking supplements such as chlorella, probiotics and krill oil. 9 months later I've lost 35 lbs, no longer have hypothyroidism, and have loads of energy! Oh, and I'm no longer on any prescription medications either. If you're thinking about getting yourself fit and in shape, my advice is, do it now! It's so worth it!
