A Natural Remedy for Cramps That Works Every Time!

QUESTION:

My legs and arms are cramping badly. Are there any natural or home remedies to relieve this?

ANSWER:

Hi Jim, and thank you for your question regarding natural remedies for leg and arm cramping.

When someone is experiencing muscle cramping or muscle spasms, this is a sure sign of a severe calcium and magnesium deficiency (calcium and magnesium are crucial for healthy nerve fibers and muscle contraction). Even women who suffer from cramping during their menstrual cycle are seriously deficient in these important minerals. And if you have muscle twitching or eye twitching as well then you are CHRONICALLY deficient!

Thankfully, this problem is easy to fix.

The first thing you need to do is get your calcium and magnesium levels back up to a healthy level. Once this is achieved then it's vital they are maintained. A calcium deficiency can cause 147 different diseases in the body and a magnesium deficiency causes over 300,000 cardiac deaths every year, so this definitely should be a top priority!

So the best way to get your daily dose of calcium and magnesium is by taking a terrific supplement called Natural Calm. This powder is very easy to mix up (a couple of teaspoons in a glass of water) and tastes great. The calcium and magnesium it contains is also highly absorbable, which is important as most calcium/magnesium supplements have very low absorbability. And as a side benefit, this stuff will
make you much more relaxed and you'll find yourself sleeping like a baby! You can check it out here... Natural Vitality Natural Calm.

And for an extra supply of magnesium (you can never have too much of this essential mineral), a transdermal magnesium spray is also highly recommended. With this, the magnesium is released directly into the bloodstream via the body's biggest organ... the skin!

For more information on just how crucial magnesium is for your overall health and longevity, I recommend you take the time to have a read of our exclusive interview with world-renowned magnesium expert, Dr Carolyn Dean here.

In addition to these, make sure you use plenty of Himalayan pink rock salt in your cooking and salt your food to taste with this salt as much as you can. Himalayan Crystal Salt is rich in over 80 essential trace minerals, including magnesium and calcium. The great thing about pink rock salt is it also contains the minerals boron and potassium - which are both needed for the absorption of magnesium and calcium - in a highly absorbable form (colloidal form). Of course, pink rock salt also contains sodium or salt (in a safe form that doesn't raise blood pressure) which is needed to prevent and treat muscle cramps as well.

So hopefully this helps you out Jim.

Good luck and all the best to you!

Magnesium

I always know when I need to start supplementing with magnesium. I keep getting cramps! I was a little slow to realize that instead of just taking a magnesium supplement when I was cramping, I was better off taking it permanently. Since doing this (and adding the pink rock salt), no more cramps! Magnesium is da man!
