Want to cure your astigmatism or myopia quickly & easily without the need for invasive eye surgery? Here’s a proven & highly effective eye exercise that works every time, along with other stunning natural treatments for improved vision that you can easily incorporate into your daily schedule…
QUESTION:
I have astigmatism and it’s driving me crazy. I do not want to risk having laser surgery and probably wouldn’t be able to afford it anyway. And I’m sick and tired of wearing these damn glasses! Do you know of any natural remedies or cures for this problem that actually work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ANSWER:
Astigmatism is a condition where the “seeing power” of the eye varies depending on the angle and amount of light passing through it. It’s primarily caused by nerve damage (there are certainly other causes though) and produces an abnormal oblong shaped cornea or front surface of the eye. With astigmatism, the curvature of the cornea is not the same in all directions, so it “bends” the light passing through it by varying amounts, depending on which direction the light is coming from.
So astigmatism is basically an eye focusing error, which in turn produces a distorted blurring of vision (at all distances) where images are no longer as sharp or as clear as they once were. Some directions of eyesight will likely be more out of focus than others. This can be distinguished with short-sightedness (myopia), where all directions of a person’s eyesight are equally blurred. Astigmatism is not age related either. It can affect young people just as much as older folks.
Thankfully though, reversing and fixing astigmatism (and fixing it for good) is actually not that difficult. The only thing you will need is a good dose of self-discipline. If you have this, you’re already on your way. So here’s the top 5 ways (in order of importance) to cure that astigmatism fast and regain your full eyesight again…
Natural Remedy for Astigmatism & Myopia #1… The Bates Eye Exercise Method: This should definitely be your first “go to” approach for treating and curing astigmatism. Ophthalmologist, William H. Bates, discovered the cure for astigmatism and myopia over 100 years ago. He managed to treat and cure thousands of his patient’s vision problems without the need for eye glasses, surgery or medications and wrote a terrific book on his proven method (you can download a copy of the original book for free
here).
Dr Bates was able to cure virtually all eyesight problems including blurred close and distant vision, astigmatism, myopia, crossed/wandering eye conditions, amblyopia, cataracts, cornea scars, retinitis pigmentosa and many others. His technique was hidden from the general public for over a century because it works so well, is easy, and anyone can do it - and it prevents the need for people to purchase glasses, have eye surgery or take pharmaceuticals! Thankfully though, his method is back out in the open and making a strong resurgence. Just do a search on YouTube for the Bates eye method and you’ll see what I mean (pardon the pun).
So the first thing you need to do is read William Bates’s book from front to back via
the link above. Once you’ve done this, watch this video for some extra handy tips and tricks on how to get rid of your astigmatism using the Bates method…
Astigmatism and the Bates Method.
Natural Cure for Astigmatism & Myopia #2… Bilberry: Along with following the exercises recommended by Dr Bates, consuming important “eye health” nutrients is also crucial for keeping the eyes in tip top condition and preventing problems such as astigmatism and poor vision. Bilberry contains powerful antioxidants called anthocyanosides. Anthocyanosides disarm free radicals, harmful substances that damage the retina of the eye and cause inflammation. Bilberry is also rich in vitamin C, another potent antioxidant that’s been found to help with free radical damage and vision enhancement. You can easily purchase bilberry extract in supplement form (
like this), or you can find it in dried or “snap frozen” bags at your local supermarket or health food store.
Home Remedy for Astigmatism & Myopia #3… Lutein and Zeaxanthin: Lutein and zeaxanthin are two more powerful antioxidants (carotenoids) that are regularly prescribed for people with vision problems. Both of these nutrients are found in high concentrations in the macular of the human eye, which is why they’re so important for eye health. Zeaxanthin and lutein are found in yellow, red, green and orange pigmented fruits and vegetables and can also be purchased in
concentrated supplement form. For dosages of the supplement, simply follow the directions listed on the bottle.
Natural Treatment for Astigmatism & Myopia #4… Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E: These nutrients are probably the three most commonly known antioxidants. All are found in abundance in most fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons, green leafy vegetables, sweet potatoes and carrots. You may already know that carrots are good for your eye sight. Carrots are rich in vitamin A (beta carotene), vitamin C and vitamin E!
Natural Cure for Astigmatism & Myopia #5… Omega-3 Fatty Acids & Sunlight (Vitamin D): Omega-3 fatty acids are crucial for eye health and reducing inflammation in the body (including eye inflammation). Vitamin D from sunlight is also essential for the health of the eyes, which is why the recent popularity of sunglasses has actually resulted in more eye and vision problems for people (yes I know this goes against what you’ve been led to believe but it’s true). Sunglasses block sunlight from entering the eyes, and in turn, stop the production of vitamin D. If you own sunglasses, throw them away and allow the sun’s rays to enter your eyes naturally. Also do the sun stimulation exercises that Dr Bates recommends in his book. In addition to this, start taking a good quality
fish oil supplement for your omega-3’s, along with eating omega-3 rich cold water-fatty fish such as salon, herring, mackerel and sardines a few times a week.
And finally, try and avoid processed foods, refined foods and junk foods as much as possible. These man-made disaster foods produce inflammation in the body (including the eyes) and contribute the production of harmful free radicals.
So hopefully these exercises, tips and remedies help you out.
Good luck and all the best to you Wayne!
